Review: Opal (Lux #3)

Opal (Lux, #3)

5 stars - Brilliant...yet again!

No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger... and they know it.

Review:

I love the Lux series and Jennifer Armentrout! Reading this each book that comes out in this series is always a treat and Opal is no different.

Quite a lot went on during this book and I was not disappointed one bit. Katy really grew throughout this book and you can definitely tell. After everything that happened in the last book, Katy has had to mature and become stronger. And in this book, the surprises just keep coming. Dawson is back, which is wonderful, and Damon is his ever charming self. Actually, Damon grows as well throughout the book. I think I'm always somewhat surprised at how great he can be. There are old characters brought back and some new characters introduced. Katy and Damon really have to decide who to trust and learn how to agree and compromise with each other. Which brings us to the relationship between Katy and Damon. Now that Katy isn't fighting the attraction between them, things definitely get a little steamy. I just love their relationship and I love their characters!

The ending is a total cliffhanger but the rest of the book is amazing. We find out some secrets, surprises and much more information. I want to say so much about this book but I feel like it'll be a better experience if you know less before you read. Opal will not let you down and will keep you reading through the night. It's definitely a great present for this holiday season. After you read this one, you'll being dying to read the next!
