Summary - For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to
the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her...until Patch comes along.
With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment, but after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is far more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.
So this was the first series I had picked up about fallen angels and just from the back summary I was intrigued. Of course I love all the paranormal romance stuff so this book was right up my alley. Here is my summary.
Nora Grey wasn't expecting her life to change the moment the seating chart changed in her 10th grade Biology class. But that's exactly what happened because Nora met Patch. Patch, secretive, good looking, dark and arrogant, the whole bad boy look, except for one thing, Patch is a fallen angel. Nora doesn't know any of this at first but she has reason to believe Patch isn't what he seems or even safe for that matter. And at the same time she seems to be falling for one of the fallen. Many strange things are going on but at least she still has her best friend, Vee Sky. Outgoing and supportive, Vee has been Nora's friend for awhile. And Nora's going to need some help because she's in danger. New boy Elliot seems suspicious and what is up with the young new school counselor? Of course her mom cant know about any of this which might not be so hard since she has to be out of town a lot with work. Now Nora has to decide who to trust because she's going to need someone to catch her when she falls.
In my opinion, Hush Hush had just enough romance and suspense. The whole book wasn't just about falling in love and getting the guy. Nora had other things on her agenda as well. Of course the mysteries become more advanced as the series goes on but I thought it was a great first book. I loved the characters, especially Patch, and the suspense kept me reading through the night. I really couldn't stop thinking about it and had to rush out and by the second book. Of course this is all my opinion and if you don't like all the paranormal romance stuff then you might not be as intrigued. I personally like the fallen angel and Nephilim thing. It was different and cool. There are two other books in the series and the last one will be coming out in October of this year!
Feel free to leave comments. But please respect everyone's opinion.
Thanks,
Vanessa
